Irit Umani has been the Executive Director of Trinity Center for the last ten years. A community center for people who are homeless in downtown. The mission of the center is “to serve spiritual, physical and emotional needs of our brothers who are homeless and poor”. Ms. Umani has 30 years of experience in management of non-profit organizations and sees her work as an expression of her spiritual path.
Chuck grew up in South Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky in a loving family full of Baptist clergy. He attended Georgetown College, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1982. Chuck moved to Texas for work where he met his wife, Chris, who introduced him to the Episcopal Church. They married in 1985, the same year he was confirmed. Chuck went to seminary at the University of the South, graduating in 1989. He served on staff at St. Michael and All Angels, Dallas, and as rector of St. Peter’s in McKinney, TX, St. Paul’s in Waco, TX, where he began serving in July 2004 and now serves as the 14th rector of St. David’s in Austin. Chuck and Chris have three adult children. Caleb, Colton, and Caroline. With the time not committed to family and the priesthood, Chuck is an avid hunter, hiker, fisherman, puzzler and guitar player.
